Modern Slavery Act

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Voov Surgical slavery and human trafficking statement for 2024.

Modern slavery is a crime and violation of fundamental human rights. It is a problem for millions worldwide. Every company is at risk of being involved in this crime and must implement measures to prevent it.

At Voov Surgical, we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, including within direct and indirect supply chains. Respect for human rights and the ethical treatment of every person is fundamental to our principles and practices.

We conduct background checks to ensure our staff are qualified for their roles and have the necessary work rights.

Written contracts outline the rights and responsibilities of our staff, and we ensure everyone is informed of their rights and benefits. All staff undergo training and sign their commitment to our code of conduct, as detailed in our employee handbook, which is reviewed and signed annually.

We strive to create an environment where staff feel safe and empowered to voice concerns without fear of retaliation.

Our whistleblowing escalation procedure is clearly detailed in our employee handbook.

We regularly review our policies and procedures and make necessary changes when risks are identified.

We strive to uphold the highest levels of integrity in all our business relationships, treating third parties in a manner that reflects our values. Any third party we work with must comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. If we identify a potential modern slavery risk, we collaborate with the supplier to eliminate this risk; if it cannot be resolved, we will switch to a different supplier.
